I keep waiting..

Waiting to read my name in your letters,

Waiting to hear my name in your voice,

All day long..I keep waiting.

The sun slowly fades away,

And the stars tease me, for I am lonely.

Emptiness around is deafening,

The silence is crushing,

Each moment, Each second

Seems to snail by

But the time....

Has the clock forgot ticking ??

Gazing into the darkness,

Pinching the corners a little tighter,

Of the old red patched quilt.

Sleep shelters my tattered self,

My head rested over the wet pillow.

Wearing a doleful smile on my face,

In my dreams, I mutter

I am waiting !!
